米国出発当日の日記。暇さえあれば自分がどんな会社を興そうとしているか考えている。

2001/07/12　「米国出発当日の朝」

I am writing this on the departure date to NY and it’s midnight and the sun is about to rise now.

I have stayed at Japan for 3 months in this occasion but thought and learned many things through the encounter with a lot of people and start thinking what really I want to do as my life work.

I may got some sort of confidence to stand by myself. That’s why I can think like this way. Sometimes I felt curious to listen what they are saying because I can see that they are advising only through their lenses, I mean their experiences or policy which is restricted and sometimes including some sort of bias and not match to myself. They are saying what they are feeling without taking any responsibility. It’s not bad thing but you have to be careful and always need to understand that it might not suit to me.

For new start at NY, what am I thinking now? To be honest, I am not expecting much from this opportunity because to work at foreign country and job description is nothing new for me. What I am really interested in is now to build a company to last and contribute to society. The book I am reading is telling me that the most important thing for Visionaly Company is not to have great ideas but to have corporate objective where is beyond profit of company.

Now I’d like to clarify what I think the most important thing for corporation and what can be corporate philosophy.

The company shall aim to contribute to society like contribute to accelerate progress of science technology or provide services to products which will be able to improve the quality of customer’s life. However the corporate need to be fed to last so that second corporate objective can be to aim to make an appropriate profit by providing best services or products to hire staffs and pay an appropriate wage to keep their life profitable.

『その当時を振り返り』

どんな人とどんな内容で話したかは覚えていないが、入社6年目31歳で自分が将来起こすべき会社の目標を見出す。

社会をより良くするために会社を作る。社会をより良くする会社を維持するためにお客様の求める商品・サービスを提供し、収入を得て、その収入でその商品・サービスを生み出す社員を養う。

今年会社を興したがその思いは今も全く変わらない。変らないどころかより深まっており、社員に提供するものは収入だけではなく、社会のために役立っている、お客様のために役立っているという遣り甲斐である。

また、この日記で本トレーニングには大きく期待していなかったことが分かり、だからこそこれから待ち受ける苦しみに耐えられたんだろうか。。。
